How does the Cubit work?+
The Cubit pairs with the PLOTT app to let you design projects virtually in Augmented Reality. Once your design is ready, the Cubit acts like a turn-by-turn GPS. It uses directional arrows and lasers on the device to guide you to the exact points of installation on your wall or floor.
Why is it called an augmented reality tape measure?+
Cubit replaces clunky traditional tape measures by allowing you to virtually design and measure your space in AR using your smartphone. You can see exactly how a project will look—and get the exact square footage—before making a single mark, cut, or hole in the wall.
Can the Cubit measure curved surfaces?+
Yes. Alongside its dual-axis lasers for measuring straight lines and height, the Cubit features a built-in measuring wheel specifically designed to accurately measure curved, freeform, or irregular objects, making it perfect for modern woodworking and custom designs.
What is the range and accuracy of the Cubit's laser?+
The Cubit's Class 2 laser has a measurement range of up to 65 feet (20 meters) and offers high precision with an accuracy of 3.0 mm at 10 meters, ensuring perfect alignment for your interior design and hanging projects.
Does the Cubit require standard batteries?+
No, the Cubit comes with a built-in rechargeable 1500mA battery, so you never have to worry about swapping out standard alkaline batteries in the middle of a home improvement project.
